Jerrison's Quilt

Hi and Welcome. We had some snow yesterday and today it is just beautiful outside. The sun is shinning brightly and the trees are dropping their snow. I just love it here in the foothills.   I finished my grandson's quilt and it turned out better than I thought it would. When it comes to sewing I know my skills and even I surprise myself!
I like the sewing on this quilt with the dimension of the lines. When looking at certain angles it has a 3D look. The only drawback to me, with these amout of lines, is the lack of the softness I like in a quit. It's a heavier quilt but not as soft. It's something to consider when learning my longarm quilting which I am doing. I quilted this on my Bernina, not the longarm.  Had I used a flannel on the back I would have liked it much better. This is a learning process for me and I am grateful.
k The back is on the Left,  the center blue and the brown the outside. I will be giving it to my grandson this week end so will post a picture when I get it.  Thank you for taking the time to stop and look. Until next time please take care of yourselves.     Judy
On another note: my daughter has restarted her blog. She does not sew or quilt but she has adorable children, my grandchildren. If you feel like looking at more pictures look up her blog: http://moonflowermadness.blogspot.com  I live on Moonflower Ln. in her house. Thank you for visiting me.
